MRWED has now combined the Zoom webinar platform with our popular self-paced online program to create a facilitator-led, online learning program via Zoom! This option continues to use the online learning platform Canvas to host and coordinate training and assessment activities, whilst also adding an extra level of support via scheduled Zoom sessions. During these live, facilitator-led sessions, a MRWED Learning Leader will introduce students to critical course content, in a way that often mimics the dynamic interactions of our face-to-face training. They will also provide additional coaching and support to learners to aid in the preparation of projects and completion of other assessment activities.

PRICE: $2,870

As with the face-to-face experience the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is broken into 4 clusters as follows:

  • Learning Design
  • Language Literacy and Numeracy
  • Assessment
  • Delivery and Facilitation

These clusters can be completed in any order and are typically completed over the 12month enrolment period.

During each cluster, students will participate in a range of learning activities and complete several practical tasks. These include forum posts, presentations, responses to case studies, simulations, resource development, peer review, self-evaluation and will have the opportunity to work closely with the MRWED Learner Success Team.

All participants will have access to mentoring from the MRWED Learner Success Team (LST) along with structured webinar-based tutorials and a comprehensive suite of resources with which to read/view/reflect and share.

What to Expect

Learners will often select a text-based correspondence option where they have an unreliable or intermittent access to the internet. However, for equity and consistency purposes, the correspondence training should be considered as an “offline” version of what learners would experience in the online program. As such, it is also an integrated program of study that combines course content, learning activities, reinforcement tasks, extension exercises, reflections, and formative assessment. Furthermore, it enjoys all the same support options as the online program.

MRWED has historically found that most students prefer fill-in-the-blank type assessments rather than potentially problematic multiple-choice questions or essays. Consequently, most of our knowledge assessments are short-answer questions. To give you realistic scenarios that duplicate real work practices, there are also some projects so that you can follow a training or assessment process through all of the planning, conducting and reviewing phases – These are almost always popular with our students. Finally, there are some practical components that need observed by either a MRWED assessor (Don’t worry we train them to be extra-friendly) through a video submission, or a third-party assessor.

This course has been designed to support the external student as much as possible. If you want more detailed information about how a Correspondence course might work for you feel free to call the MRWED Training and Assessment team on FREECALL 1800 2 TRAIN (1800 287 246)
