MRWED submits it’s application for TAE40116 and TAE50116

MRWED are thrilled to announce that we have submitted our addition to scope application to deliver the new Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50116) qualifications. MRWED has spent 8 months honing the application by connecting with industry, developing new learning and assessment materials, creating streamlined mapping tools (and other systems) and validating all these with independent external validators.

Student Information for the Unique Student Identifier

From 1 January 2015 if you are undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a registered training organisation you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Your USI will be made up of a combination of 10 letters and number. For example: 3AW88YH9U5.

VETnetwork Conference in Darwin

MRWED participated in the VETnetwork Conference held in Darwin this week. This Conference provided an opportunity for VET practitioners from senior secondary schools and colleges, career and enterprise educators, training organisations, university academics, researchers, policy developers, consultants and industry to network, learn, interact and engage.

Recognition at the Excellence in Business Awards

MRWED was named as winners of “Best Professional Services” in the Caboolture Region at this year’s Excellence in Business Awards. This is our 6th Excellence in Business award since 2009. MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe was also named as a finalist in the category of Business Person of the Year. “It’s great to get local recognition for the wonderful work that our people do”, Marc said. “I am privileged to accept this award on behalf of the whole team.” 

MRWED is at the National VET Conference

MRWED were once again represented at Velg Training’s National VET Conference. This year’s event was held at Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre and was attended by more than 1000 VET practitioners from all over Australia. Marc presented a Master Class around his book “The Trainer’s Cook Book: Recipes for Learning Engagement Success” and Jason delivered a 2 hour session titled “Games with Frontiers: A series of sixty second energisers”.

Happy Birthday MRWED!

MRWED celebrated 14 years as an RTO today. The business has seen many changes since commencing in 2000, but we are still committed to the twin goals of creating great learning experiences and improving the quality of trainers and assessors. MRWED has now supported more than 22,000 students in certificate and diploma programs since 2000 and has delivered programs in 12 different countries. 

Marc is a Finalist in the Australian HR Awards

MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe was a finalist in the category of HR Champion at the Australian HR Awards held in Sydney this week. Whilst he did not take away the winner’s trophy, we are proud of his recognition in the area of staff development and engagement.
